What the old Gaffemeister meant to say was, "None of us political elites who live in the Bubble Of Fantasy and Privilege knew how bad the economy really was. Only the people who have real jobs and live in the real world knew that!"

FEARLESS FORECAST 2. Frugal Is The "New Cool" - flashy and conspicuous displays of wealth are out - saving money is in. Vacations will still be treats for many...but, out-of-sight, bought on sale and farther away from home, shorter and much more discreet.
Nobody's flashing wealth in the presence of unemployment that will blow through the 8% and 9% level and breach 10.2% by mid-Q2-2009. Yike!
