What Newt Gingrich Should Have Said To John King At The Republican Debate.

WHAT NEWT SHOULD HAVE SAID TO JOHN KING.

 

"Is there anyone in the audience who would like to rely on any ex-spouse's account of your life relationship and who you are today? Please stand UP! As for me, I'm going to have to sit down on that one."

 

John King was way out of line.

 

Anyone who has been married and divorced and remarried, has a far better perspective on the recollections and characterizations of any ex-spouse.

 

All candidates at all levels of government; Mayor, Alderman, Senator, Congressman and President - Republican, Democrat and Libertarian  - are running for political office.

 

They are not running for SAINT.

 

Let's stick to the important economic and defense issues and leave marital issues between the ONLY two people who can possibly know all the details about a long ago marital situation.

 

This will go down in history as an classic example of "gotcha-purient-ambush journalism" at its very worst.

 

John King came off looking like Jerry Springer.
