This is another Birk-Connect-The-Dots-Blog. You tell me if I'm wrong and please show me the error of my ways. I'm more than willing to be corrected.
A BIT OF CONTEXT:
I spent a lot of time this weekend listening to the jibber-jabber about the announcement to try the "alleged 9/11 suspects" in Federal Court in New York. I read the accounts in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch ( actually written by 2 reporters from McClatchy Newspapers) and in the Sunday New York Times.
I listened to many news accounts on CNN, Fox News, Headline News, NBC, BBC and ABC. So, I feel pretty well up to speed on all the reports, spin, sense, nonsense and utter BS.
BACKGROUND:
I have been a student of world religions for some time. If you want a quick context: Huston Smith's The World's Religions is a good starting point (he used to be a Professor at Washington University here in St. Louis).
CONTEXT ON ISLAM TODAY:
I have read The Face Behind The Veil by Donna Gehrke-White, Woman of Egypt by Jehan Sadat (wife of slain leader Anwar Sadat), and numerous other books on Islam - I also recommend: The Muslim Mafia (www.muslimmafia.com), House of Bush, House of Saud, Two Faces of Islam: The House of Sa'ud from Tradition to Terrorism and numerous other history books and articles on the Middle East from the days of The Raj to today.
I am currently reading INFIDEL, the autobiography of the Somali woman, Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
The Dutch film maker Theo Van Gogh was murdered in his native Holland by a Muslim named Muhammed Bouyeri. Theo's crime against Islam was making a movie about Ayaan's struggle against the Islamic oppression of women.
Theo was ambushed on his way to work - shot 8 times and then repeatedly stabbed before he had his throat slashed open and a five-page letter fastened into his chest with a butcher knife.
To say his movie, Submission Part 1, got unfavorable reviews in the Islamic world is a slight understatement given poor Theo's fate.
TRAVEL PERSPECTIVE:
We have traveled in Egypt, from Cairo to Memphis to Saquarra and Dashour. I am an avid student of dynastic Egyptian history. We have stood inches from the oldest mummy in the world, Ramses II, in the atmospherically-controlled room at The Cairo Museum. And even closer to the treasures of Tutankamen.
We have visited the Muhammed Ali Mosque atop The Citadel in Cairo and walked across its limestone courtyard...made from the limestone facings of The Great Pyramid of Gizah, which was cracked off with boiling vinegar when the Muslims conquered Egypt in the 640 AD time frame.
DISCLAIMER:
Okay, that said, I AM NOT an expert - but a reasonably well-informed person with an opinion based on facts and some speculations based on observation. Like the great Yogi Berra said, "You can observe a lot just by watching."
So, ready or not...here we go.
DOT ONE: Most Americans entire knowledge of Islam is based on Lawrence of Arabia, The Thief of Baghdad and the Voyages of Sinbad.
Not many Americans know the role the British Empire played in shaping the current Islamic world from Cairo to Sudan to Jerusalem to Kabul to Dahomey.
Did you know that Pakistan is not an ancient country...it was created by the British just like Kuwait. The P is for Punjab, the A is for Afghanistan and the K is for Khyber...take piece of land from each province, jam 'em all together and what do you get?
PAKistan.
DOT TWO: Bill O'Reilly is wrong. Pat Roberson is right. Islam is NOT just a religion.
There is no separation of church and state in Islam.
We Americans believe in separation of church and state. The ACLU even got The Ten Commandments pulled out of our courthouses because they might offend some people. No Christian creches or Hebrew menorahs on public property either. And tear down that Veteran's Memorial Cross that's been out in the Mojave Desert since 1931.
So where is the ACLU when it comes to Muslims? Why the hands-off treatment?
Let's all understand and underscore that Islam is a total belief system that micro-manages every aspect of a person's life and behavior from dietary rules to worship to education to all legal affairs.
Free will and creative independent thought is out the window. It is all about Submission.
DOT THREE: America is a Judeo-Christian nation. Our nation's principles are based on the Old and New Testament, The Magna Carta, English Common Law, The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution and The Bill of Rights.
Islam avers that Sharia law is above all other laws. Sharia deals with virtually every aspect of day-to-day life, including politics, economics, banking, business, contracts, family, sexuality, ritual hygiene and a myriad of social issues.
I have a problem with Sharia Law being promoted here in the USA because I'm not into Submission.
DOT FOUR: The term 'Assassin' derives from the Arabic word Hashshashin literally "takers of hashish", more commonly called The Order of the Assassins.
DOT FIVE: Assassins who kill human beings in the name of Allah are called Muslim Terrorists. Period.
DOT SIX: What's In A Name? In the case of Islamic terrorist groups, it's all a web of nomenclature designed to confuse us and to hide the true Nation States that sponsor and fund these terrorists. IE: The House of Sa'ud - bin Laden. Iran. Syria. (www.muslimmafia.com)
Hezbollah, Hamas, Black September, The Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade, The Palestine Liberation Army, the Taliban, The Muslim Brotherhood, Al Quaida et cetera et cetera ad infinitum ad nauseaum are all terrorist organizations.
Call 'em The Mystic Knights of the Sea...it doesn't matter.
They can be Lebanese, Syrians, Palestinians, Egyptians, Saudis, Yemenis, Afghanis, Indonesians, Pakistanis, Somalians Irannians, Iraqis or home grown U.S. Citizens of these extractions like Major Hasan. Or Anglo-American or African-American converts who look like the average American next door.
The inescapeable common denominator is the FACT that they are all Moslems. And they all subscribe to the Islamic belief system.
Are Muslims really here in the USA to become part of the American melting pot? Or are they just living among us? They want to enforce their own Sharia belief system. They do practice "honor killings" - right here in the good old USA.
I believe that the vast majority of American immigrants came here to help form a "more perfect union" NOT a more politically-correct diversity.
And certainly NOT to become part of a worldwide Islamic Caliphate.
DOT SEVEN: Muslim Terrorists are NOT "crazy" people.
They are well-educated.
They are very sane.
They are true believers.
They believe in The Seal Of The Prophets.
They believe that the Prophet Muhammed got the FINAL word on man's relationship with his Creator in a cave on Mt. Hira.
Ever since then, it has been the Muslim way or the die way.

Surrender to Allah...or else.

DOT EIGHT: I believe we are are locked in an epic global battle for The Mind of Man and the very soul of civilization.
It's Love Thy Neighbor vs Slay Thy Infidel Neighbor.
I pick Option 1.
Major Hasan and the Gitmo Terrorists pick Option 2.
Major Hasan's self-concept is, by his own admission, "First I am a Muslim."
He forgot his Hippocratic oath as a physician and healer to "first do no harm."
He forgot the Pledge of Allegiance.
He forgot that he was a native born American.
He forgot he was a US Army Officer.
Major Hasan, Soldier Of Allah, is a true believer.
He was not a recent convert to Islam, he had been totally indoctrinated in Islam from birth and later in his mosque in Falls Church, Virginia and then on the Internet with his imam in Yemen.
He made NO secret of his Islamic belief system.
But, no one wanted to speak up. Now 13 U.S. soldiers are dead.
SILENCE KILLS!
Madrasahs (Muslim Schools and Academies) from Mecca to Falls Church, Virginia are now indoctrinating new little "Major Hasans" as we speak - even prisons have proved to be fertile ground for Islamization.
Last week's seizure of Iranian commercial assets and mosques is not just pressure being applied to influence the release of the 3 U.S. college students who are about to go on trial in Iran for espionage. It was also an FBI attempt to cut off funds from Muslims here in the U.S.A. sending to terrorists abroad.
DOT NINE: President Obama is the 100% driver of the move to close Gitmo and to bring the Muslim terrorists to New York for a show trial.
Why?
No one in the Obama administration even breaks wind without the approval of President Obama, Rahm Emmanuel and David Axholerod. And that includes, Attorney General Eric Holder.
Make no mistake about that.
President Obama is the driving force behind this. Attorney General Eric Holder is his puppet on a string who gives President Obama and "easy out" if the do-do hits the fan in Manhattan.
DOT TEN: Illinois (Obama's adopted state) is likely to get many of the Terrorists from Gitmo as part of a new "job creation" program. Senator Dick Durbin is absolutely giddy about it. Cash is King in Illinois politics.
DOT ELEVEN: President Obama has an unsual and still being revealed self-concept that I haven't quite figured out as yet. It isn't narcisissm, but it's close I think. He just declared himself to be "America's First Pacific President."
He loves the International stage and his rock star image. He bows to the Saudi King and the Japanese Emprorer. Will he kow-tow in China?
Nah...he has Tim Geithner to do that.
President Obama loves his own life story, and fondly recalls his days in Indonesia where he attended a Muslim school. He even used his father's Muslim roots as a data point to relate to Muslims in his first major global address to the "Muslim world" in Cairo.
Yet he professes to be a Christian. He did attend the Reverend Jeremiah Wright's church for over 15 years. Right?
He loves the resonance of his own voice and exudes a sense of stage presence and confidence that is arguably mezmerizing.
Yet, he blows with the wind on Afghanistan as he rejects 4 options from his "War Council" and his field commander.
Is he smarter than all of his War Council members?
If they can't come up with a good strategy maybe he should fire them. Or maybe the Generals should resign en masse?
Maybe he doesn't want to jeporadize that new Nobel Peace Prize by winning the war he called, "the war of neccessity" in Afghanistan.
DOT TWELVE: Over the weekend, Hillary Clinton did a "buck and wing" tap dance and lateral arabesque across the stage when she said, "I won't second guess Attorney General Holder's decision to try the terrorists in New York."
I still think Hillary is going to bailout in 2009 or early 2010 to preserve her viability as an alternative Democrat Presidential candidate and savior of the party in 2012. (That was in my Fearless Forecast in early 2009)
DOT THIRTEEN: These Gitmo Terrorists are enemy combatants. They are not U.S. Citizens. They are not entitled to be treated like U.S. Citizens. They should be tried by a military tribunal.
But Holder says we need openness to show off the American Justice System to the world. So let's open the CIA and FBI files and out the operatives.
This is INSANITY or is it?
DOT FOURTEEN: Obama needs a huge distraction to get the robotic-media focused AWAY from what he and his cronies are up to. And, he knows how much America loves to fixate on a good trial (OJ redux?) with tons of emotional drama and lots of outrageous participants.
He and his advisors know that this show trial in NYC will dominate the headlines and TV shows for months as many other "less interesting" but "transformative" stories are swept from the TV sound bytes and front pages.
This will allow President Obama and the boys from Chicago to dredge up anything they can on the Bush-Cheney Administration without looking like they're targeting them.
They calculate that this will re-energize the left base of the Democrat Party and "green light" his fundamentally transformative plans for America.
This is also a way to punish and hobble the CIA and serve to distract them from their current tasks and undermine their effectiveness. This is something that he already had Holder starting to do despite Leon Panneta's objections.
It also offers Obama a Wizard of Oz ploy. Remember when Toto pulled back the curtain to reveal the little man behind the image of "The Great And All Powerful OZ."
President Obama doesn't want the citizens looking behind the curtain in his administration to see what he's doing. He wants us to see and adulate him as the new wizard, the new OZymandias..."look on my work ye mighty and behold!"
Doubt him and you will be labeled as a right wingnut. Thoughtful independent thought, questions, policy debate and dissent is unwelcome. Submission is demanded.
DOT FIFTEEN: The deadly gas of political correctness and the complicit silence of fearful American citizens is killing our freedom and liberty.
President Obama doesn't want the ordinary citizen to pay any attention to the alarm bell ringers, Tea Party or Town Hall Protesters.
It is easy to paint those folks as nuts, malcontents, swastika-bearing mobs of angry white men and even as racists.
President Obama et al had hoped that these "canaries would simply have died" - silent and unnoticed in The Cave of Change.
DOT SIXTEEN: America's threats since the Civil War have come from the outside.
Now they come from the inside. Muslim terrorists are in our midst. Illegal aliens are everywhere. And, now we have our inspiring new leader bringing even more committed Muslim/Moslem Terrorists to our shores.
WHAT'S THE REAL REASON OBAMA'S PUSHING THE TRIAL IN NYC?
In a word, DISTRACTION: This is a classic mass diversion of attention from soaring deficits, trillions in new debt, high unemployment, cap and trade, rigging the Census with ACORN, signing away US sovereinty in the Copenhagen agreement, creating a 2000-page unread healthcare bill and pushing unemployment past 10.2%. At the end of the day, he'll be able to go whichever way the wind is blowing, he always does.
After the Muslim Terrorists make a mockery of America in our Federal courts, tie-up the FBI, the NYPD, villify the CIA and publicly scourge the Bush-Cheney administration, then America's First Pacific President, the Nobel Prize winning Barack Hussein Obama, will be able to become Barack the Merciful, Barack the Compassionate, Barack the Glorious.
He can even fundamentally transform the American Justice System by demonstrating his magnanimity to the entire world by commuting any death sentences the Terrorists may recieve to life in prison or time-served. Eric Holder is already an expert at pardons from his days in the Clinton adminstration.
Is an acquittal, commutation of sentence, pardon or merciful life sentence instead of the death penalty even possible?
No way...that could NEVER happen.
Couldn't it?
We must be legally and politically correct, right?
Were these terrorists read their rights?
Were confessions elicited under torture?
Was the chain of evidence in tact?
Will they call witnesses to affirm their rights under Sharia law?
Will a jury of their peers have to incude Muslims?
How many years will this be tied up in Appeals?
Don't think a nightmare scenario can't happen.
After all, these poor Muslims have endured unspeakable torture and waterboarding at the hands of the evil Bush-Cheney administration, not to mention 8-years in the hellhole called Gitmo.
Where does the real blame for their "alleged crimes" lie?
It's all America's fault!
Repeat after the Defense Counsel, "It''s all America's fault...and more specifically, the Bush Administration's fault.
These poor Muslims and millions of others like them have cried out for justice against the Zionist state since 1948, and The Great Satan (that's the USA) has only exploited their oil and defended the hated Zionist Jews.
Rahm Emmanuel and David Axeholerod know that there is nothing like dredging up the Bush Administration to energize their media eunuchs and the left wing base of the Democrat Party.
The DISTRACTION and mis-direction of attention could work.
Who's gonna connect the dots?
Hmmm...I wonder what Theo Van Gogh, Wall Street Journal reporter, Daniel Pearl and the people who leapt 90 floors from the burning Twin Towers and their surviving families think of Obama's grand legal strategy.
Not that it matters.
Barack The Democrat has spoken.
So let it be written, so let it be done.
As for me, well, I think it's just the most recent example of unbridled, unrestrained arrogance and absolute hubris in action by our inspiring new President, Barack The Manipulator, Barack The Mezmerizer.
Or is he just an actor from 2nd City who is playing the Presidential role...but, if he's not the real Wiz of O...then who is that man behind the curtain???

CHECK THIS OUT! The Spender-In-Chief is NOW suddenly concerned about troop COSTS!! Fiscal responsibilty may be his way to NOT give the Generals the troops they asked for. Congress may need the money to restore funding to ACORN or create more lucrative prison jobs and vendor contracts in Porkopolis, Illinois.
