Rebirth Of Haiti...Rebuilding Haiti With A Real Vision. Create The Renaissance Republic. Will Costa Rica Lead The Way And Help Create Another Tropical Paradise On Earth? It's Time To Dream A New And Better Dream!

Dear Pals,

What a horrific scene of human suffering.

Now what?

Relief will pour in by the Billions as well it should.

The situation will stabilize in a few months.

Then what?

A return to business as usual?

Or a fresh start?

Can this phoenix rise from the ashes?

Haiti is a poor 1/2 island.

It is breathtakingly beautiful.

It has plenty of friendly people...and some real bad apples that need to be rooted out.

It has a great climate.

It has great fishing.

It has a legacy of French culture and cuisine.

It can be transformed into an island paradise.

It can become a worldwide destination for fun and food and frolicking in the sun and under the stars.

Let's create a Carribean paradise with plenty of good paying jobs, great hotels, places for cruise ships and lots of construction and infrastructure.

Perhaps even a stunning home for Intellectually-based creative businesses, scientific companies and recording and movie studios?

How about branches of universities like Washington University and Case Western for biomedical research, plant sciences studies and classroom education?

Or, how about training facilities for athletes...perhaps even an arena for the Olympics and World Cup?

The tragedy of recent days has created an opportunity to start over. The Reset Button has been hit in Haiti. The message is OLD GAME OVER.

I'd like to see the genius of Costa Rica leading the way - this Carribbean nation knows how to do it!

Costa Rica has the model for success in the Caribbean...Prosperity and Peace and Education create a thriving economy and a nation of wonderful people.

Let's wipe away all the tears and trauma...let's take the oppression and hate out of Haiti once and for all.

Let's fill the space created by tragedy and devastation with real and enduring jobs, construction, education and empower the willing hearts and hands of the good people there to help make it happen.

I'd even rename the 1/2 island of Haiti to create an inspiring new vision.

I'd rename the country, Renaissance - which we all know is Francais for rebirth.

That new name for Haiti would send a powerful emotional message throughout the world that says, Renaissance is a place of rebirth, a place to come and create and recreate. A place to relax, renew, refresh and reinvogorate the body, mind and spirit. A place to shake off the troubles of the past and a place to aspire to new and better ways and new and better days.

I think renaming Haiti to become the Renaissance republic is a message that would resonate in the hearts and minds and souls of many good people and creative and innovative businesses worldwide.

Let's create an island in the Sun that can become a light to all nations.

Let Renaissance be a place where people can unleash the creative power of liberty, freedom, individual intiative, art and science.

Let Renaissance create a new creatively-inspired civilization on the rubble of corruption and tyranny which has been Haiti's history.

Let Renaissance be a new Atlantis rising!

I would happlily create all the Tourism and Economic Development Marketing and Advertising for Renaissance in return for a mountain-garden villa in this a new Paradise of the world!

Oh what a joyous assignment that would be!!

I would name my villa, Glimpse of Glory...which is what one would see at the dawn and sunset of every new day in Renaissance.

The Capstone Mystery...It All Begins In Egypt And It All Begins Within You

Dear Pals,

Ever since I was a small boy, I have been fascinated by Egypt. In 1995, my wife, our son and me visited three of the worlds' great civilizations on the "trip of a lifetime."

We visited Athens, Delphi and Santorini in Greece, then on to Crete to see the Minoan civilization at Knossis before arriving in Cairo, Egypt.

In Egypt, we first visited The Step Pyramid at Saqqarra and the subterreanean star chamber there, before motoring on to Egypt's early capital, at Memphis. Finally, on our 3rd day, we visited the plain of Gizah, where we stood before The Great Sphinx and the Great Pyramids, Khufu, Khafra and Menkaure.

I have never felt more personally insignificant than on that day.

You cannot really grasp the enormity and the complexity of the Pyramids from any photo or video. In his book, The Great Pyramid Decoded, Peter Lemesurier exhaustively and painstakingly documents the sacred geometry and inner mysteries of Khufu, aka Cheops, or The Great Pyramid.

Most people think the Pyramids were built as tombs. But the preponderance of evidence says they were not.

That brings us to the story of Imhotep, "the one who comes in peace," he was a commoner who served the 3rd Dynasty Pharoah Djoser, as chancellor to the pharoah and high priest of the sun god Ra at Heliopolis. He is considered to be the first engineer, architect and physician in history to be known by name. The full list of his titles according to Wiki is:

Chancellor of the King of Lower Egypt, Doctor, First after the King of Upper Egypt, Administrator of the Great Palace, Hereditary nobleman, High Priest of Heliopolis, Builder, Chief Carpenter, Chief Sculptor and Maker of Vases in Chief.

I have seen Imhotep's small statue in the Cairo Museum and as our guide Alia pointed out, "Notice that his skin is red...he was a red man. No other depictions of any other Egyptian is red. Only the mysterious Imhotep. Many believe he was the designer of the Pyramids. Many also speculate that he came from the lost continent of Atlantis and brought its esoteric knowledge with him.

When Imhotep died, he was the only Egyptian commoner in history to be declared a god. Other legends say that Imhotep did not die but simply returned to whence he came. His tomb has never been found, so what really happened to this obviously very important man is lost in the mists of time.

Only the Sphinx knows for sure and it isn't talking.

If you look at the Pyramids on the Gizah plateau today, and direct your attention to the top you will notice two things, first The Capstone of the Great Pyramid is missing and second, that a remaining layer of white limestone exists near the pinnacle.

The Pyramids were originally faced with polished white limestone slabs 10-feet thick. When the sunlight shone on them, their reflection in the sky could be seen as far away as Jerusalem

When the Moslem army conquered Egypt they used boiling vinegar to crack off the facing stones and carted them off to build the Mohammed Ali Mosque and The Citadel in Cairo. We know where the facing stones went. When you walk across the courtyard floor in the Mohammed Ali Mosque, which we did, we were actually walking on the sides of the Pyramids.

But what happened to The Capstone Of The Great Pyramid? There are still capstones on the neighboring pyramids Khafra and Menkure.

Why was the Capstone of the Great Pyramid removed?

Or, was it ever there in the first place? And, if not, why not?

After all, the Great Pyramid was built decades before the other two. It's hard to imagine going to that enormous amount of time and effort and not topping it out.

Unless of course, it was left uncompleted intentionally...for a special generation of humankind to finish the job at an appropriate time in a distant future age.

Legend also has it that there was a message enscribed on the four-sides of the Capstone that gave key insights into the eternal questions, "Why am I here?" and "How am I to be?

Just to add to the mystery check out this passage about The Capstone from Lemesurier's definitive book (page 382).

"For our reading must now suggest that man, having at last established a perfect world order (the completed Pyramid) is destined to use it as a springboard to create a culminating age involving the realisation of full divinity. That awesome achievement, meanwhile must necessarily be reflected in an extension of the lines of the world-symbolising Pyramid past its apex and into a new dimension entirely. With man's final apotheosis, in other words, even the physical world - even perhaps, the universe itself as known by man - becomes strangely transmuted and even reversed. And so there at last comes into realisation the ancient vision of a 'new heaven and new earth.' "

There is an ancient Egyptian maxim. "As above so below." And a corresponding idea, "As within so without."

I for one, think that it all begins in Egypt and it all begins within you.

As part of our company's 15th Anniversary Celebration, we decided to do something very different from the typical open house and cocktail party. We wanted to say, "Thanks for all the blessing that we and our clients and our vendor-partner familes have recieved over the years."

And, we wanted to see if we could do some good in the world by helping young students and their teachers at The International YMCA of Jerusalem in Israel and The New City School in our hometown.
